ABOUT HIS EYES
His Eyes tries to see the world the way Jesus does, spiritually and physically, primarily in and around Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
Thus the different ministries of His Eyes try to bring spiritual and physical healing. We started that via medical work and over the years that grew to include to Church plants, clothing outreach, scholarships, children's after school ministry (which we call The Milk Project), short term mission teams, and coffee and other farming. All of these areas of emphasis have the common goal of reaching more people for Christ, in Honduras and around the world.
All this to try to see the world as Christ would have us see things, using His eyes.

HOW DID WE GET HERE?
The clinic work began lo so many years ago under the direction of Tom and Carol Jeffries who were missionaries with FAME (www.fameworld.org). In 1994 a mobile clinic was used, moving around Tegucigalpa to meet physical needs of the people. In 1999 a small rented house was used, and the Colby family became involved setting up the optometry side of that clinic. Then in 2001 a permanent clinic building was built on the outskirts of Tegucigalpa, which then expanded into a much larger building in 2009 on the same property, with another expansion in 2015.
The mission started with a medical focus, but God has continued to expand and take it in so many different directions. You can click on the Minsitries tab above to see more about those different areas!
